Its gunmetal-colored base station is self-emptying and fills its own tank with clean water, automatically emptying the dust bin into a smaller container, and washes and dries its own mop pad in between cleaning sessions. It has advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and eliminate pet hair from carpets, and clean high-level thresholds in rooms.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping capabilities, due to the internal dToF system. It can keep the appearance of a low-profile, while offering excellent detection of objects. It can drive up to walls and avoid steps without falling. It also raises the mop when driving on rugs or short-pile carpets. It struggled a bit when it came across carpets with longer piles, and there were a few large, thick messes with dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to go straight out of the box and it only needs just a few minutes of mapping to discover your home. Once that's done, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined as needed. You can also design virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go areas if you don't want the robot to touch certain objects.
The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotating mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to mop and vacuum makes it a great choice for homes that have two types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) could make it less versatile than other robots that permit you to include your own cleaning solutions.
